Ingrid Ozer

|
More than 25 years ago, Ingrid Ozer, owner of the Pilates Place, entered the fascinating world of health and fitness. Since, she has developed a diverse background in bettering bodies. Nine years ago, while attending a continuing education conference, Ingrid wandered into a mat Pilates workshop. Now, with more than 2,000 hours of practice, teaching and observation, she is extremely grateful to operate her own studio.
"Since the beginning of my mind/body studies, I have been completely humbled by the mental and physical changes in my own body. Of all my experiences, the most profound have been after my two pregnancies, during which Pilates opened many layers of amazing physical change. I am so deeply fortunate to be able to share my love and passion of the human body with all my clients."
In addition to being a Master Teacher trained and certified through the Physical Mind Institute in New York, Ingrid also mentors future teachers who are preparing for the Physical Mind certification program. She also holds certifications with AFAA as a personal trainer and group exercise instructor. In addition, Ingrid is certified as a spinning instructor with Mad Dog Athletics. |

"When I was having children, I wanted to stay fit and strong, so I started teaching aerobic classes and returned to college to earn my certifications. I couldn't believe I was actually getting paid to have fun! When Pilates was introduced, I immediately was hooked! Joseph Pilates' "TheMethod" is a mind, body awareness practice that has changed the way I think, feel and move in all areas of my life.
I also feel very fortunate to be a part of outreach program at Gilda's Club, an organization that supports people with cancer and their families. By teaching members Pilates, I have an opportunity to experience first-hand the importance of physical movement as part of a holistic, integrated wellness plan." |
